Buttercup Pumpkin Rump
By Jackie Fedyk
Buttercup Pumpkin Rump
Fast asleep outside the dump
Delicate, fragile little girl
Doesn’t belong from this nasty world
Her hair spun of gold rests in silk mounds of waves
Her loveliness lost upon our Earthy knaves
She fell from the pages of fairy tale story
Lost in our world memento mori
Famished and misplaced she’s left here to die
Without a heartbroken eye to let out a cry
She was born in true splendor from white mountain ash
And an ignorant someone threw her out with the trash
