Please Support Your Favorite Ukulele Driven, Horror/SciFi Influenced Rock Band!

My friends and I have made a little zombie film to launch our band, The Little Black Bottles‘, Kickstarter campaign! We are trying to raise money to duplicate our CDs for Let Them Eat Red Velvet Cake, our new album.

We’ve spent a lot of our personal money on this album and now we just don’t have enough to have the CDs printed! That’s why we’re starting a Kickstarter program to raise funds to get our work out into the world.

Kickstarter is an awesome website where you can fund and follow creativity. Artists and musicians use it all the time to fund their work. I love this idea and I have helped fund other people’s creative projects on kickstarter because I believe in supporting our creative culture. There are some amazing people out there who want to make amazing things but don’t have the funding.

On our kickstarter you can donate anywhere from $1.00 to $20.00 to $50.00 to support our venture, or you can donate up to $200.00 or more to help us reach our goal of $2000.00 which will cover the costs for printing our CDs and help us order some cool merchandise to pass on to the backers. It’s like pre-ordering your own LBB CD!

Here’s how it works, you pledge at your chosen level and if we get enough backers to meet our $2000.00 goal, then we will be able to order the CDs and ship them out as rewards. If we do not make our $2000.00 dollar goal our CDs will not get printed.

Every Kickstarter project must be fully funded before its time expires or no money changes hands.

We would really like to have CDs printed professionally but we can’t do it without your help and support!

We are offering some really cool rewards for supporters of The Little Black Bottles including; autographed CDs, free digital downloads of all the albums, mystery 7 inch records from the past, my vintage banjolele, the autoharp that Myke is holding in the album art, stickers and LBB t-shirts.

For pledges of $100.00 and more there are other amazing rewards, like an autographed Alice Cooper album that I procured when I met him at the Emerald Queen Casino in 2004.

I Met Alice Cooper!

I’m also putting up 2 of my vintage Halloween Pez autographed by Glen Danzig and Jerry Only of the Misfits. I met them both on 2 separate occasions in Denver in the 90’s.

I remember standing in line at Wax Trax in Denver waiting to meet Danzig. He was looking all tuff and grumpy until I came up and asked him to sign my Skull Pez. It made him smile and he put a pentagram under his signature.

I met Jerry Only at the Ogden Theater in Denver after a Misfits show. This was during the time when Michael Graves was the singer. What a great night. I brought my Ghoul Pez to Jerry after the show to have him sign it. He laughed and ate one of the pez then asked me if it was acid and if he was going to start tripping balls. I said no it was just regular pez, which it was, but he looked suspicious. Fun times, anyways the rewards we’ve posted on our kickstarter are the very best of my treasures and I’m happy to give them up if it means getting our CDs out into the world.

We are also offering my self published books Everything Alice – snapshots from the darker side of Wonderland, and Allegory of the Dolls as rewards for our backers!

Jerry Only of the Misfits

Last week I rallied up a group of friends to come over and help out with our Horror Host themed Zombie video to get the word out to friends and fans. We need your help duplicating our new album on CD!

I wrote a quick little script and the actors ad-libbed some very witty dialog. We filmed the whole thing in one day and I spent all last week and part of this week at the computer editing! It was so much fun to make and I hope you all enjoy it.

We have until October 27, 2011 to fund this project or it will never happen!

Thanks for supporting!
